Stressors among Healthcare Workers during Covid-19 Era Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital Awka Anambra State Nigeria

The research on stress, its effect, sources and management cannot be over emphasized. purpose of the study is to determine stressors among healthcare workers at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Awka. Six questions were posited four hypotheses formulated guide study. cross sectional survey design was used for multi stage sampling technique draw a sample 267 out 772 Healthcare (HCWs). instrument data collection researcher’s designed questionnaire. subjected reliability test using pilot method. collected analyzed frequency percentages (1-6) while null tested Chi – square statistics. result revealed ten during covid-19 era which demanding workload endorsed by 96.2% respondents, Time pressure (84.5%), sleep deprivation (66.8%), role ambiguity conflicts (54.3%), home/work interconnection (71.3%), emotional exhaustion (87.5%), limited break periods (78.5), fear exposure infection (95.8%), physical psychological abuse (56.2%), concerns about children not being taken care properly when you are away (60.8%). Based findings conclusions, researcher recommended other things that professionals can reduced employing more hereby reducing stress. Also, Annual leave, maternity casual leave amidst work, etc should denied any job category in system avoid down health HCWs.
